On 24 November 2022, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted the Reception on the Occasion of Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and Thailand’s Father Day at Rizqun International Hotel. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youths and Sports and spouse, Datin Hajah Binanun binti Haji Bungsu were Guest of Honours.  Among 350 invited guests at the Reception included Head of Missions, diplomatic corps, high rank officials of Brunei Darussalam, business and private sectors, friends of Thailand, Thai community in Brunei Darussalam and media. 

        On this occasion, H.E. Boosara Kanchanalai, Thai Ambassador delivered remarks emphasizing the significance of December 5^th to the people of Thailand, the important outcomes of APEC 2022 under Thailand’s Chairmanship, and the longstanding Thai-Brunei relations.

        During the Reception, the Embassy invited Asmah binti Abdul Hamid, half Thai-half Bruneian and Shannen Tsen Jia Ee, student and award winning violinists perform 3 Royal composition songs composed by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great namely, Still on my mind, Love at Sundown and Love as well as another Thai  songs.  Tourism promotion Videos from Tourism Authority of Thailand had been also shown at Reception.
