On 29 October 2023, Ambassador Boosara Kanchanalai, Embassy officials, Team Thailand officials and the representatives of Thai community in Brunei Darussalam participated in the ASEAN Sport Day 2023 Fun Run Walkathon, together with ASEAN community and Timor Leste in Brunei, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sports, held in conjunction with the 56th ASEAN Day celebration, at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien in the capital. Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, as the Acting Minister of Culture Youth and Sports, was the guest of honour.
The activities included Fun Run Walkathon 3 km. and the demonstration of ASEAN traditional games such as playing kite, tug of war, board games, archery. Thailand demonstrated “Pid Ta Tee Mor” or hitting the pot (blindfold).
