On 30 January 2017, the Ambassador of Thailand and the Defence Attaché hosted the reception on the occasion of the Royal Thai Armed Force Day 2017 at the Rizqun International Hotel.  Deputy Minister of Defence of Brunei Darussalam was the Guest of Honour. Invited guests including the Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, diplomatic corps, the Defence Attachés, senior Brunei government officials,  representatives from private sector as well as members of Thai Association in Brunei.
