On 22 September 2019, H.E. Miss Wanthanee Viputwongsakul, Ambassador, officers and staffs attended ASEAN Sports Day which was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) with the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex. Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports presided over the events,  joining the minister were members of the diplomatic corps from ASEAN member states, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Permanent Secretary and Deputy Permanent Secretaries, officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam  and members of the ASEAN community.

      At the event, started with outdoor exercise, 3 kilometres walkathon/running, futsal matches, netball matches and ASEAN traditional games.  For Thailand, Sepak Takraw demonstration was performed and joined by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Mr. Rooge Thammongkol, Minister at the Royal Thai Embassy, local staff and Thai Community also took part in the futsal matches.    

    After the matches, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports presented the price to football team while H.E. Miss Wanthanee Viputwongsakul, Ambassador presented the price for Netball team.
