On 28 August 2019, H.E. Miss Wanthanee Viputwongsakul, Ambassador organized Thai handicraft session, making flowers from fresh pandan leaves for 34 members of Sawasdee Club, Universiti Brunei Darussalam at the Royal Thai Embassy. The Embassy invited Mr. Payap Nilyam, Acting President of Thai Association in Brunei and owner of Thai restaurants in Brunei conducted the handicraft session.
In Her Excellency’s remarks prior to the session, this activity was initiated after the meeting between the Ambassador of Thailand and President of Sawasdee Club on
14 August 2019. Besides, the Embassy will be pleased to support upcoming activities of the club namely traditional Thai dancing and Muay Thai sessions. In order to promote Sawasdee club’s activities to public, Her Excellency suggested creating the Club’s Facebook as well compile a list of alumni for future network. The Embassy will be co-host with Sawasdee Club for Thai Night on 16 September 2019.
