On 14 March 2023 Ambassador Boosara Kanchanalai hosted a luncheon in honour of Pengiran Norhashimah binti Pengiran Mohd Hassan, Permanent Secretary, Dayang Hajah Mardiana binti Haji Omar, Deputy Permanent Secretary, including the directors and officers of East Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei Darussalam.  Both sides discussed ways and means to enhance and promote cooperation and ties as the two countries are going to celebrate 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2024.
