On 12th July 2017, H.E. Mr. Biravij Suwanpradhes received a courtesy call by a delegation led by Mr. Vithep Vachirabhahu, Senior Managing Director of Ekarat Engineering Public Company Limited, and discussed about the history of Ekarat's presence in Brunei as well as the prospect of Ekarat's investing in Brunei. Ekarat is the largest transformer manufacturer in Thailand and exports to more than 30 countries around the world including Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, Singapore and the  Philippines. The company is listed in the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
