HM Sultan and Yang-di Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam presided over the celebration of 63rd Anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces on 31 May 2024 at Penanjong Garrison, Tutong District. Ambassador Boosara Kanchanalai and Group Captain Woravit Pranet , Defence Attache, joined Heads of Diplomatic Missions and Defence Attachés to extend their congratulations on this occasion. Apart from annual parade and march-past, one highlight of this year was the first ever 'Solidarity Jump' by 31 paratroopers from Brunei Darussalam and 11 countries. Three officers from Royal Thai Armed Forces, namely Colonel Piyasak Saitanu, Commanding Officer 3rd Special Force Regiment King Guard, Colonel Nanthapop Chaisong, Deputy Director of Information Operation Department, and Second Lieutenant Kunlawat Duangsawang, Special Warfare School Instructor, joined this special event. During their stay in Brunei, the three officers also paid a courtesy call on Ambassador at the Royal Thai Embassy.
Another highlight of the RBAF celebration was the Defence Industries Exposition where two Thai manufacturers showcasing their armoured vehicles and other innovative products. Executives of Thai Defense Industry Co., Ltd. participated in the event themselves. Thai Rung Union Car Plc, partnering with the long-established GHK Motors Sdn.Bhd. of Brunei was also present.
