On 20 September 2019, H.E. Miss Wanthanee Viputwongsakul, Ambassador welcomed six Thai Muslim students who is currently study at Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) and Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University (Kolej Universiti Perguruan Ugama Seri Begawan / KUPU-SB) on the occasion of a courtesy call to ambassador and proposal for the support of their activities in the university.  At present, 42 Thai Muslim students are taking Islamic Studies at UNISSA and 5 students at KUPU-SB.
