On 16 September 2019, the Royal Thai Embassy hosted the "Sawaddee Club Thai Night" for Sawasdee Club. University of Brunei Darussalam at the Royal Thai Embassy. On this occasion, Her Excellency Ms. Wanthanee Viputwongsakul, Ambassador launched the Sawasdee Club’s facebook which were witnessed by Dr. Joyce Teo Siew Yean, Assistant Vice Chancellor (Global Affairs) UBD, Guest of Honour and more than 80 guests consist of officers, members, alumni of Sawasdee Club and members of media.

      In the remarks, the ambassador emphasized the importance of the youth’s role in developing and promoting international relations.  The Embassy realizes the importance and support network building between people as it is the foundation of bilateral relations between Thailand and Brunei. Ambassador believes Sawasdee Club’s facebook will be a channel to promote the club’s activities, connecting members, alumni and interested parties.

     At the Sawaddee Club Thai Night, there was video presentation of the club’s activities.  The Thai cultural performance of “Muay Thai” and “Ram Wong” and lucky draw and Thai contest.  Guests were served with varieties of Thai food and desserts.      

     Sawasdee Club is a university’s club established by both Bruneian and international students who are fond of Thailand and Thai culture.
